I’m delighted to announce that the Jura photography competition is back!

We had some great entries in 2010 and this year we’ve got a brand new theme. As you know, on Jura we value strong ties and friendship in our community, after all with less than 200 Diurachs on the island, we need to stick together! So this summer we’d love you to share your photographs that capture a sense of ‘community spirit’.

Plus, capture a real cracker and you could be one of three lucky Diurachs to win a week’s all-expenses paid trip for two to experience our island’s community spirit yourself. You’ll also get your hands on a photography workshop with acclaimed photographer David Nightingale and a state of the art Olympus PEN (E-PL3) camera. And there are some splendid weekly prizes to be won too. Every week for eight weeks, we’ll award an Olympus camera and a bottle of Diurachs Own to the shot you all choose as your favourite. And you could win some other Jura treats too just for voting!
