Well, we’ve had A, B, C, D, E, F which means it’s probably time for G and H in our World’s Best Bars series – and I’m looking for more suggestions from your guys, either here in the comments or on Facebook or Twitters, so don’t be shy. G Gleneagles Hotel , Perthshire, Scotland The Griffin, Glasgow, Scotland A favourite with the staff at our Glasgow HQ, The Griffin is our ‘local’ haunt. It serves up a great range of pub grub and has all of our favourite Whyte & Mackaybrands on optic – what more can you ask for?Grand Hotel, Heiligendamm, GermanyLocated on the beachfront, this is one on Germany’s top hotels that oozes classical and relaxing flair. Choose the Nelson Bar inside the main building for your digestif and if you enjoy a cigar with a whisky, don’t forget to visit their famous Davidoff Lounge. Other notable G’s It’s well worth visiting Gastwerk and their barkeeper Bastian Drews, who in our opinion is one of the best barmen in Germany. There is a great variety of whiskies and cocktails available that are sure to satisfy the international barfly.
This bar is home to The Most Venerable Order of the Highland Circle – a great bunch of whisky drinkers, so you know that this bar will be stocked
with many a fine dram.
