Now for the 2nd year the Hielander Whisky Festival in Alkmaar The Netherlands.
A completely independant festival organized by restaurant owner Wullie Macmorland (Hielander Scottish Restaurant) Organized under the motto of “why does it have to cost so much?” The first festival drew 2000 visitors in two days, this year the standholders have been doubled, meaning that there can now be space for 2500 visitors.Every session has live folk music and there is traditional Scottish food available (e.g smoked salmon, Haggis, cock-a-leekie)
