A big, dark and to my mind over sherry-wood influenced grain from the now demolished PD.

The box tells us: “When just three years old, the rich single grain whisky in this unusual and strictly limited (1920 bottles) bottling was re-racked into three very different cask woods* for long ageing, to fine effect.

Sappy fresh-cut pine fuses with vanilla ice cream on the spice-sweet nose, whilst sweet taste and rich texture dominate the silky-smooth palate, leaving a long, rounded and complex finish.

*Ex-sherry & first fill American oak, charred European oak.
