Although this was very much a Netherlands, Belgium (Flanders) happening it may be nice to share.

Starting in February 2010 forum members where asked to submit their nominee with the best designed Whisk(e)y bottle and optionally packaging . On November 24, a poll was placed on the forum containing the twenty selected contestants for the  “Het Whisky forum Design Award 2010” (the, Dutch=het).

Forum members where allowed to vote for only one. Soon 4 finalists came to the surface: Bruichladdich, Highand Park Earl Magnus, Glenmorangie Signet, Ardbeg: Lord of the Isles.

Long time we saw a head to head strugle between Ardbeg: Lord of the Isles and Highand Park Earl Magnus but at the end surprise, surprise, the Glenmorangie Signet jumped up to win this years Design Award.

1 – Glenmorangie Signet
2 and 3 – Ardbeg: Lord of the Isles and Highand Park Earl Magnus
4 – Bruichladdich

An interesting observation is the fact that two of the four finalists, Glenmorangie and Ardbeg ar owned by Moet Hennessy.
