Richard Paterson, AKA ‘The Nose’ & ‘The Master Blender’ Is Up To Something SECRET! – Scotch Whisky News

Richard Paterson is hosting a small, intimate event in Glasgow on Thursday, October 15 for reasons which are being kept secret until next week.
Would W.I. like to invite one reader to come along?
9:05 AM. Occasionally Whisky Intelligence receives submissions from previously unknown people on various subjects. In this case a subsequent email promised more details which have, so far, not materialized. However it is noteworthy that Richard Paterson is up to something and thus the decision was made to publish the scant information available in the hopes that further salient details will be revealed in due course.
10:35 AM. The details are revealed shortly after the original post;
Dear one and all,
You are invited to an evening with Whyte and Mackay’s Master Blender Richard Paterson on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 at DALMORE HOUSE, 310 ST VINCENT STREET, GLASGOW.
The reason for the event and the plan for the evening will be revealed on Friday, October 9 but please note the following:
It’s a low-key and casual event, however we would be delighted if you blogged and tweeted about it before and after and included links to the main Whyte and Mackay site and to Richard’s blog at www.themasterblender.com
The event is predominantly for the online community but some distinguished members of the whisky press may be present
Filming, picture taking, audio recording, live tweeting on the night are all welcome
The event is regarding the main Whyte and Mackay brand, not Jura, Dalmore or any of the other brands
You are invited to join us from 6pm for a prompt 6.30pm beginning. The event should be over by approximately 8pm.
RSVP to this email before 5pm MONDAY OCTOBER 5 to be confirmed for this event. Acceptances after this time cannot be guaranteed entry.
Also, entry may be refused if anyone is found to be smuggling ice in to the event.
ENDS
If you would like to attend please submit your name to Whisky Intelligence using the submission form at the top of the home page.
