An update on the 2009 Awards from Johannes;

Here’s a quick update about the progress with the preparations of the MM Awards.

At this point, some 25 distillers and bottlers have confirmed they will participate; I’m about to send reminders to circa two dozen other potential participants. So far circa 15 bottles have already arrived in France; if all the confirmed bottles arrive my slightly optimistic guestimate is that we’ll be at 100 bottles by september 26 – already enough for a proper competition. Looking at the names on the ‘unconfirmed’ list, it should be very doable to get circa 50 bottles from other participants. I’ll take stock again in a week or two – at that time we can check if any further ‘arm twisting’ is required for certain parties.
