Royal Mile Whiskies has bottled the Offical ‘The Gathering’ whisky; a 1983 Linkwood, 25 years old, 46% abv. and limited to 625 bottles. Now available to purchase exclusively either from our shop on the Royal Mile (opposite St Giles Cathedral) or at the actual event on Saturday and Sunday and (if there is any left after the weekend!) online from 10.00am, Monday 27th July.
Royal Mile Whiskies will be the only Specialist Whisky retailer at The Gathering this weekend and can be found in the Talisker Taste Experience area.
The Gathering 2009 is a celebration of the culture and history of Scotland and a major part of the Homecoming Scotland 2009 festivities. The two-day event will be the greatest international Clan gathering the world has ever seen, and the largest Highland Games to have been held in Scotland. Set in Edinburgh’s majestic Holyrood Park on July 25th-26th and featuring international Highland athletes, outstanding pipers and captivating Highland dancers, plus a fantastic live music line up and Scotland’s finest food and drink!
