Estate reserve is a dram of real character, conjuring up memories of times past. It draws on casks selected for their maximum intensity and depth of flavours, including some small sherry seasoned hogshead casks especially reserved for this expression. Estate reserve is non-chill filtered and bottled at the old-style strength, more commonly known as 20 under. These traditional practices ensure that every ounce of flavour and character is drawn from the cask and captured in the whisky. On the nose, a delightful combination of soft fruits, underlined with notes of ginger, vanilla, fudge and citrus. The palate is rich and fruity with an intense depth of oak wood and spiced orange. The finish is memorably long with sweet citrus and oak wood notes.
