We are equally pleased to welcome the return of the Italian Trade Commission who will present an expanded Taste of Italy pavilion on the Mezzanine Level, as well as adopted Scot and longtime friend of Spirit of Toronto, Regis Lemaitre, who will be hosting our very special pre-show 15th Anniversary Celebration. And last but not least we look forward to treating our esteemed guests to some island dramming courtesy of our Treasure Island showcase – those of you who attended our 10th anniversary bash will have some inkling as to what’s in store!

We are further pleased to be featuring a rare Canadian tasting and book signing by the inimitable Jim Murray, author of the ‘Whisky Bible’, and one of whisky’s most outspoken and controversial commentators…

2019 Masterclass Series

The schedule for our 2019 Masterclass Series is now online and we’re happy with the variety it offers, be it something that appeals to seasoned connoisseurs, novice tasters or those simply looking for an adventure on the palate.

Kicking off our 2019 series is our Spirit of Toronto 15th Anniversary Celebration hosted by longtime friend and whisky presenter Regis Lemaitre. Get set for a relaxed, pre-show session that will treat our guests to some of the gems we’ve come across during our fifteen year tenure.

In the mood for something lighter? It’s hard to go wrong with pre-show aperitivos courtesy of Tad Carducci’s exploration of Italy’s contribution to the art of the cocktail.

Fans of the Whisky Bible will have a rare opportunity to hear Jim Murray preach his gospel as he presents an award-winning selection of Welsh single malt whisky from the Penderyn Distillery.

The classics never disappoint, and with that in mind we are pleased to once again be featuring some of Scotland’s finest distilleries including a selection of Gordon & MacPhail’s Connoisseurs Choice range of single cask, single malt whiskies, Benromach, Old Pulteney, Jura, Bowmore, Laphroaig and The Glenlivet, as well as a selection of single malts from the blending portfolio of the Johnnie Walker range.

Closer to home Bearface and Crown Royal will unpack the art of Canadian whisky blending with samples of their component whiskies, Forty Creek will take guests on a trip down memory lane, and we welcome the return of Dr. Don Livermore who will be presenting a sneak preview of the Northern Border Collection 2019 Rare Release.

Automatic Ticket Notification

Those subscribed to this list will receive an automatic notification the night before tickets go on sale. We’re often asked about the best way to purchase tickets in order to secure your first choices but regrettably we can offer no guarantees as tickets will be available online, by telephone and in person, and all three purchase methods are certain to experience a queue. Nonetheless, we look forward to welcoming you back on May 4 — see you then!
