FOLIO: A SPOTLIGHT ON THE MACALLAN ARCHIVE

Folio commemorates the legendary Macallan advertising campaigns of the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s; that took the brand to a wider audience for the first time. The series draws together a curious memorandum of stories, anecdotes, drawings and photographs that map the story of The Macallan from a remote farmstead on the River Spey to a whisky that is enjoyed the world over.

First released in 2015, the series is made up of 24 individual releases that celebrate The Macallan across three decades of storytelling.

INTRODUCING FOLIO 2

Two years after the release of Folio 1, the second instalment in this limited series of Archival Bottlings represents the print, press and film advertising from 1980 – 1994 and is accompanied by a hardback book including a foreword by Sir John Hegarty.

A limited number of Folio 2 will be available for visitors to purchase at The Macallan Distillery from Monday 29th May on a first come first served basis, restricted to one per person.
